Midland Park Family Dentistry Was A Hit During Children's Dental Health Month
NJ Top Dentist Practice, Midland Park Family Dentistry, brought dental health education to third and fourth graders of Midland Park Elementary schools for Children's Dental Health Month.
SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J., April 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Every February is Children's Dental Health Month and this year NJ Top Dentist, Dr. Anthony Caramico's practice, Midland Park Family Dentistry, participated by visiting Midland Park Elementary schools. The practice visited all third and fourth grade students to teach them about their dental health.
Highlights of the day included dental trivia, flossing green 'gunk' which was actually green glitter off of a cardboard mouth, and distributing an assortment of goodie bags filled with toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, lip balm, and safety lights.
The hygienists of Midland Park Family Dentistry discussed how to protect their teeth to the elementary school students. Examples included eating less sugar and learning to decipher which drinks are better for your dental health.
To show the children how certain drinks affect the enamel on their teeth, Midland Park Family Dentistry soaked eggs in soda, milk, apple juice, gatorade, and water to see the effects it had on the shell. The results of the shells were comparable to how the liquid would affect the children's enamel.
