FLASH will help to organize and streamline the commercialization process with greater accuracy and efficiency so customers can rely on a consistently high-quality product with great speed to market. FLASH will act as a central hub for the creation, management, storage and manufacturing process of formulas across Nellson's four manufacturing plants which are located in California and Montreal. Launched in March 2023, the system is the culmination of a three-year project led by Nellson's internal team and partnering with a third-party developer.
Nellson's new FLASH Formulation Management System offers advanced capabilities that enable improvements in efficiency, traceability and customization such as:
- Formula versioning-Enables users to easily view iterations of a formula throughout the development process, useful in comparing formula iterations and tracking changes, including price comparisons.
- Regulatory compliance-Ability to generate reports on compliance status with relevant regulations, standards and certifications.
- Audit reports-Generates audit reports documenting formula development, modification (versions) and approval processes, providing transparency and accountability for Nellson and its customers.
- Customized reporting-Advanced customizable report generation for users to track and report on various aspects of formula development including formula creation, costs, timing and more.
