This innovative apparel line follows their two campaigns which raised more than a million USD in crowdfunding. The new products are available on Kickstarter starting at $89 USD.
Outdoor Vitals Satu Pants are meant to meld together outdoor functionality with a professional design. They are lightweight, comfortable, durable and are made of mechanical stretch fabric which is one of the most technical and highest performing fabrics currently found in the world. The unique weave and construction of the 100% polyester fabric make them flexible, strong, and quick-drying.
"One of the main things we wanted to achieve with these pants is that the material is of the highest quality possible without breaking the bank," said CEO and Founder Tayson Whittaker. "The Satu Pants are made of mechanical stretch fabric and don't use spandex as spandex is heavy, holds water & sweat and takes too long to dry."
The pants have a custom athletic fit designed to allow for maximum range of motion, without the "cargo outdoor pant" or baggy pants look.
"We felt there was a serious problem in the market between outdoor performance pants and your daily wear jeans and slacks." Whittaker adds, "We wanted to create pants that not only function for the outdoors, whether on a hike or biking but also they looked professional enough to go to work to, or do a presentation with. These are meant to be the type of pants that are versatile within the wearer's daily activities."
Other features that have been built into the pants include, temperature regulation and stain-resistant properties, DWR coating for water repellency, a lace clip for secure hold, side venting, an adjustable top waistband, an unnoticeable lay-flat cargo pocket and more.
The pants are part of a clothing set that includes a hoodie, wool boxers and a pair of thermals. Both boxers and thermals are made with Patented NuYarn DragonWool™ which increases strength, warmth and stretch compared to traditional wools.
The NuYarn DragonWool™ Underwear is lightweight, naturally odour-blocking, non-bunch, 4x faster drying and thermal regulated. The boxers are longer than standard length to give protection against rubbing legs. Both men's and women's will be available in two colours.
The NuYarn DragonWool™ Zip-Off Thermals feature an easy zip off, are lightweight, naturally odour blocking, regulate temperatures. If it's cold, use the zip-on thermals to put them on in 20 seconds. Users don't need to remove their boots/shoes. If it starts getting too hot, it only takes 10 seconds to take them off. There's no need to remove boots or shoes due to the full length stretching YKK zipper. They are made through a patented method for stretchier, warmer and faster drying fabric.
The NuYarn DragonWool™ Hoodie is a fantastic addition as well because you get the odor blocking, temperature regulating and 4x faster-drying performance, but now you can also utilize the natural 50+ UPF sun rating!
