MONTREAL, June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today Phidel Studio launched a Kickstarter campaign for their mobile game Survive the Bridge. The game is a new satirical game, made with Unity, where players attempt to cross real landmark bridges in disastrous, conditions around the world. The full BETA (With more than 15 levels) is now available for the price of $5 CDN or $3.75 USD.
Survive the Bridge is a 2D physics-based game, which offers simple and fun gameplay in the form of 30-60 second levels. It was inspired by familiar landscapes and features realistic elements such as yellow taxis, earthquakes, potholes, orange cones and more.
"Living in Montreal, crossing the Champlain Bridge was scary at times. One day as I was crossing the bridge, I got the idea of a game inspired by Mario Bros where a little car would try to cross and Survive the Champlain Bridge," said founder Patrick Delsaer. "So I figured, let's do it as a mobile game for everyone, and let's add some landmark bridges from all around the world!"
Survive the Bridge comes with four different game modes:
- Tutorial mode to help familiarize players with the controls
- Conquest mode where players travel around the world and dominate the world's bridges
- Arcade Mode, which is a wild mode where anything can happen
- Sudden Death mode where players are challenged to cross as many bridges as possible without dying.
Delsaer adds, "We've been working on the game for over a year. We have a few levels ready to go and are really excited to have the world play it. Our plan is to try to launch the demo or even the full game before the end of the construction of the new Champlain Bridge in Montreal because the old Champlain bridge falling apart was what motivated us to create this game in the first place."
The current Demo version has three cities and three levels including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Millau Viaduct (The tallest bridge in the world).
Kickstarter backers will be given a code to unlock the Kickstarter Beta version right away. That version includes five other cities and fifteen levels including New York, San Francisco, Millau, Montreal, Sydney, and Windsor/Detroit. More bridges will be added in the future. The Demo is available for Android and iOS for free.
