CHICAGO, Nov. 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TAWANI Property Management Hospitality, known for providing historic, architecturally significant vacation and event venues with modern amenities, announced it is parting ways with Mayne Stage, a beautiful, historic event venue. This decision is due to a portfolio change which will focus solely on intimate vacation stays and customized event rentals.
"We're sad to part with this magnificent event venue and restaurant, but unfortunately it is no longer compatible with our long-term real estate strategy," says Kimberlee Carr, Director of Property Management at TAWANI Enterprises. "Our other hospitality venues are for intimate celebrations, and we're not in the business of managing larger event venue spaces at this time. We're looking at all offers to find this beautiful property a new owner."
Located in Chicago's north side, Mayne Stage, once known as The Morse Theatre, opened in 1912 as a theatre and movie house. Through 2010, the venue experienced major renovations, modernizing the building but maintaining its historical integrity and 1930's-era art deco splendor. These renovations included an all-new interior structure and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Mayne Stage is a unique event space featuring three distinct areas: a spacious mezzanine area, a theatre with a raised stage, and a vibrant lounge room. The addition of a mezzanine brought the total building area to 18,000 square feet and included a complex expansion of the basement. On the exterior, the original terracotta detail was restored and recreated. For years the venue has served as the perfect backdrop and setting for many celebrations, including weddings, concerts, corporate events, and fundraisers.
TAWANI's Hospitality division includes Lang House Chicago, Emil Bach House, and Lincoln Way Inn, all event and vacation rentals in Illinois. Lang House Chicago is a meticulously restored American Foursquare Prairie-style home that was built in 1919 and is located next door to Emil Bach House, Chicago's only Frank Lloyd Wright private vacation home and event rental.
