Trident University International Helps to Raise Money for Local Military Families
Along with Joint Base Los Alamitos and the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce, Trident helped to raise more than $7,000 for the annual Adopt-a-Family program, which assists local military families in need.
CHANDLER, Ariz., Dec. 17, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trident University International (Trident) was proud to partner with Joint Base Los Alamitos and the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Adopt-a-Family program, culminating in December.
The Trident community was able to raise to $7,130 for the military families in the Adopt-a-Family program. Due to the generosity of all of those who donated their time and money, 62 military families each received a $115 supermarket gift card.
"We can't thank the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce enough for inviting us to be part of this donation drive for the fourth straight year," states Kendra Temple, Director of Alumni Engagement. "Our entire community came together to help these families in need."
Trident is proud to be military-centric, as many of the University's students and alumni have a military background, including those actively serving, veterans, and military spouses.
Philanthropic activities such as the Adopt-a-Family program and the recently updated William "Joe" Gainey Scholarship and Military Success Scholarship are some of the ways in which the Trident community continues to acknowledge those who serve and have served.
