$4 Million Tennis & Fitness Center Opens at St. Andrews Country Club Completing $25 Million Club Improvement Plan
The final phase of the three-year $25 million club improvement plan is complete at St. Andrews Country Club on time and on budget. $4 million was spent in the final phase on state-of-the-art enhancements to the floor plan and renovation of the 20,000 sq. ft. free standing Fitness & Tennis building.
BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The final phase of the three-year $25 million club improvement plan is complete at St. Andrews Country Club on time and on budget. $4 million was spent in the final phase on state-of-the-art enhancements to the floor plan and renovation of the 20,000 sq. ft. free standing Fitness & Tennis building.
The completely remodeled Fitness & Tennis building includes numerous enhancements including increased square footage of the Pilates® studios, a brand new mind-body studio and a virtual reality spin room. The men's and ladies' locker rooms have been expanded and fully equipped with updated showers, steam room and sauna. Also being added is 770 sq. ft. on the gym floor to accommodate additional cardio and techno gym equipment and an advanced stretching zone. A new, expansive tennis shop, and professional offices are part of many practical improvements to the building. An ultramodern, spacious tennis lounge and two brand new pickleball courts further expand the tennis facility.
As one of America's Top 10 Healthiest Club's for four years running, the Fitness & Tennis building is an essential facility to the active membership at St. Andrews Country Club. Originally built in 2005, the building's new design allows for improved efficiencies to better handle the high volume it regularly receives as well as a modern update to the décor and furnishings.

The tennis program at St. Andrews Country Club attracts a younger demographic seeking quality tennis amenities and facilities. St. Andrews Country Club offers men's and women's leagues that range from just playing for fun to competitive. The Aaron Krickstein Junior Tennis Program has grown rapidly within the last few years with 20- 30 active junior tennis players. The tennis center has two brand new pickleball courts, 14 clay tennis courts, five of which include lighting convenient for members who prefer to play in the evenings. Center Court's stadium seating is the perfect venue for Krickstein's many Pro-Am Tennis Exhibitions, complimentary for all members. This year's Professional Tennis Exhibition will take place on Tuesday, December 18.

Phase I of the three phase $25 Million Club Improvement Plan was completed in December of 2016 and included the renovation and redesign of the 18-hole Olde course and practice facilities by golf course designer, Tom Fazio II, along with substantial improvements to the ballroom and ladies' card room. Also recently added was a multi-use sports field and a full-size basketball court to accommodate our young members.
Phase II involved the construction of a brand new, $8 million, 11,000 sq. ft. world-class spa which opened in August 2018. Some of the new spa features include a salt therapy oasis, steam room and sauna, and additional treatment rooms. The salon enhancements included extra manicure and pedicure stations, separate color room and hair styling stations, and a new private make-up and hair area for special events.
