"Financial Bootcamp" for Women Hosted by Beacon Wealth Management
Hackensack, NJ (PRWEB) October 26, 2013 -- A free three-hour seminar for women on the basics of personal finance will be held Nov. 4 as the kick-off of a “Bootcamp Training Series" designed to equip women to better manage their personal finances. The event, sponsored by Beacon Wealth Management LLC, (http://www.bwmllc.com) will begin at 5:30 at the Teaneck home of Beacon Managing Director Norman Sohn, MD, and his wife Lois.
The Financial Bootcamp series, open to women of all ages, was developed in response to demand from area women for convenient and practical opportunities to learn more about money and the fundamentals of investing, in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Bootcamp participants will receive easy-to-understand guidance from Beacon’s founder and CEO, Mark Germain, CFP®, MBA, ADPA®, along with Beacon Director of Management Tina Powell, M.A., an advocate for women’s education in finance, among other topics. The interactive session format will make it easy for attendees to have their individual questions addressed.
Germain is an active member of the Business Advisory Council at Southern Connecticut State University’s School of Business. He entered the financial services industry in 1984, and has witnessed the full spectrum of investment and economic cycles. Powell serves on the Alumni Board of Governors at her alma mater, Fairleigh Dickinson University.
“Many of my friends, acquaintances and Beacon clients, and have asked me for guidance on money matters,” Powell says. “This Bootcamp is the perfect platform to teach women what they want and need to know about the basics, and have a little fun in the process,” adds Germain.
