"Groaning America Cries Out for Prayer" Say Planners of "555 Days of Prayer to Save America"

As they call for prayers for the tornado victims of the northern plains and southern great lakes region, the leaders of "555 Days of Prayer to Save America" ask all participants to pray, fervently and passionately, against the sins of the United States of America.
Said Robert Berry, spokesperson for "Save America Gathering," "Malachi 3: 13-14 says: “You have spoken arrogantly against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’” The United States of America has become a rebellious nation, just like ancient Israel, in the scriptures!"
"Romans 1, 24-32 speaks of the results gentiles of being guilty of sin," Berry continued. "It reads like a current discussion of a nation we all know; our nation." "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles."
"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."
"So," Berry finished, "If you want to pray, and you need to know exactly what sort of sins you should be bringing before God, on behalf of the nation, the United States of America, try wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. It isn't hard to find those. How about envy, murder, strife, deceit (having "game" is no excuse), and malice. While you are on the subject, try gossip, slander, God-hating, insolence, arrogance, and boastfulness. But wait, there's more! How about inventing ways of doing evil? Don't forget children disobeying parents (almost the norm...), infidelity, hatred, and mercilessness. That will be a good start."
The 100-day-long prayer for forgiveness and mercy regarding the sins of the United States of America will reach day five, today. "555 Days of Prayer to Save America" is at day 260. The 555-day-long prayer event will conclude on September 11, 2014, with "The Great Wave Offering."
