“Jingle and Mingle” with Castlewood at Monarch Cove
Pacific Grove, California (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- Ready to kick off the holiday season, the professional team at Castlewood at Monarch Cove Eating Disorder Treatment Center invites the public to a “Jingle and Mingle” open house at the facility, 213 17 Mile Drive, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014. The open house will include tours of the facility and an opportunity to meet the treatment team, who will be available to answer questions and describe the resources available at Monarch Cove.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to showcase our team and beautiful facility. We want people to know that our clinical team is accessible and dedicated to prevention, advocacy, and public education on eating disorders. Our hope is to be a resource for the community on a larger scale for eating disorder treatment,” said Kira Olson, Director of Regional Outreach for Castlewood in California. “We are passionate about partnering with therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists, and others who treat people with eating disorders in order to meet the needs of clients and empower them toward recovery and healing.”
As a special addition to the night, the Monarch Cove staff is delighted to serve holiday treats prepared by in-house chefs and to have a photo station for guests. “We want people to enjoy themselves and come away with an understanding of the Castlewood difference, including the high amount of client individualization, real life exposures, and intensive trauma and anxiety work. By visiting with us, guests will be gain a visual concept and feel of who we are so that they can feel comfortable referring clients to our care.”
In her career, Olson has led support groups and mentored individuals suffering from eating disorders and their loved ones. She is eager to be a resource to people in their recovery process and to share the hope of healing. In her role as Director of Regional Outreach for the West Coast, she works with outpatient providers to develop ongoing referral relationships.
Monarch Cove, one of three Castlewood eating disorder treatment centers nationwide, serves clients suffering with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety, substance abuse, and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
