About the Author

John E. Soller joined the Navy in Columbus, Ohio, in 1965 and became a missile radar fire controlman. After his honorable discharge, he joined the Naval Reserve and amassed a total of eight years of active service and 16 years in the reserve.

From 1977-1985, Soller worked as a civilian on systems integration for naval missiles before earning certifications in food lab technology and quality control.
