"To Err is Human" is a documentary film directed by Yariv Mozer that focuses on the stark reality of medical errors as the third leading cause of death, right behind cancer and heart disease. This is the U.S. premiere of the film, which reveals for the first time the very real dangers of making a fatal medical mistake.
The film follows Prof. Amitai Ziv of Israel's Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer, who is revolutionizing the way doctors work to prevent these deadly errors. Prof. Ziv holds several scientific and medical awards for founding the Israel Center for Medical Simulation (MSR), which strives to reduce potentially fatal medical errors by providing advanced level simulation and training exercises for doctors.
Following the screening, Director Yariv Mozer and Prof. Amitai Ziv will participate in a Q&A. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions and hear directly from Mozer and Prof. Ziv about the importance of reducing medical errors and the success of MSR.
