Debut author Jennifer Hechko-Meyers writes about love, suicide, child loss, and jealousy
MEDINA, Ohio, April 3, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jennifer Hechko-Meyers believes that people's lives are complicated and often have skeletons hidden for reasons. She conveys that message along with many twists, turns, and evolving relationships in her new book, "Sorrows Lies".
The book begins with lead character Andy revealing that a one-night stand turned into a pregnancy and a hasty proposal which morphed into a 25-year marriage that is a mistake. Andy asks for a divorce from his wife, Miranda.
Andy leaves home to seek comfort and advice at his friend Alan's home. Alan is out of town but his wife, Jen, is there. Andy and Jen have a rooted past and, as they begin to delve into it, they release many skeletons.
"Living lies only hurts people that you believe you are trying to protect," Hechko-Meyers said.
Miranda finds out Andy is staying with Jen and becomes infuriated, knowing they have a past.
What follows is four characters stuck in an expanding spiderweb of emotions, with twists and turns that put Andy, Miranda, and Jen, and Alan on an emotional rollercoaster heading for sorrow, but, eventually, finding healing and redemption.
Hechko-Meyers got involved with writing and publishing during college, but her hobby turned to passion with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
"It was a time to either do nothing or realize that I now have the time to do what I want and to pursue it," Hechko-Meyers said.
