MIAMI, Feb. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- To an outsider Zach is just your ordinary teen, but in reality, he's a demigod and the newest member of a secret sect of technologically-enhanced young men and women, called Olympians. Author Robert Estape's newest book, "Rise of Atlantis: Young Gods," follows this group of enhanced humans, distant descendants of the original aliens who colonized the planet, working to save the planet from ecological disasters and intervene in human affairs, with the goal of preserving all life at home and in the galaxy.
The book takes place on Atlantis, what we today call Earth, just off the coast of Florida. It was important for the author to base the book in a location that was familiar to him, so it could be as accurate and realistic as possible. It was also important for Estape to include a diverse group of characters. He wanted everyone to feel represented in "Rise of Atlantis," so he was sure to include characters of different genders and races.
Estape has had a fascination with mythology since he was a young kid and, as he got older, he began to develop his writing skills and allowed his imagination to run wild. He decided to combine his two passions, when writing "Rise of Atlantis". He wanted to use this book to teach young kids to love themselves, reach for the stars and encourage them to be the best they can be.
"I've been writing since I was 15," Estape said. "Science fiction, and mysteries, have always been some of my favorite genres. I wanted to combine mythology and superheroes for 'Rise of Atlantis,' in hopes of introducing kids to these Greek gods for, possibly, the first time."
Estape hopes that this book will encourage readers of all ages to never be afraid to be who they truly are, just like the Olympians, and always help others. The team, which has become a family, always bands together to face all the challenges, in order to save each other, the planet, our solar system and our galaxy. The author wanted his book to show kids how they can come together for a greater cause and that each of us is special in their own way and that our differences are our greatest attributes.
