FREDERICK, Md., July 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A2LA is pleased to announce the accreditation of Stillwater Laboratories, Inc. to ISO/IEC 17025 for cannabis testing. Stillwater is based in Olney, Montana and is the first cannabis testing laboratory accredited by A2LA in the state. Stillwater is also the first laboratory to go through a dual assessment where both ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and Americans for Safe Access (ASA) Patient Focused Certification were obtained. A2LA has had an exclusive relationship with ASA to assess to their program requirements, which have been adopted from the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), and add them to a laboratory's scope of accreditation. The ability to have one assessment provide a laboratory with both an accreditation from A2LA and a certification from ASA was put into place in the fall of 2018.
