For example, one feature of the app allows the user to select what they are experiencing on a plane from a screen that categorizes the scenarios by sense. They can choose from lists labeled “smell,” “hear,” “feel,” or “see,” and then read about why such a thing might happen on a plane. The knowledge that whatever they are experiencing is normal and has an explanation helps to calm them down and make them feel reassured that they are safe.
