A Space that Partners Technology and Raw Materials—Much Like WTS Paradigm’s Products.
Middleton, WI (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- “It was done in a way that gives us a good balance of work and fun,” states Henry, Application Consultant at WTS Paradigm, about their new headquarters. “I feel like it is a much better expression of who we have working for us and what we value as a company. Definitely a building that that we can all be proud of.”
Located at 1850 Deming Way, the new building is a wish over 15 years in the making for CEO Nate Herbst and reflects its culture, dedication to the industry, and above all else–undeniable style. The 45,000 square foot space is a perfect demonstration of the power of technology, unleashed in the building industry.
Ever-innovative Herbst explains: “We wanted a space that captures the spirit of WTS Paradigm: fun, intelligent, and linked to the building industry. This all really started about 18 months ago and became a whole company project. Employees were encouraged to share their design ideas and workspace preferences. Throughout every phase we gathered employee feedback, as I really wanted this space to resonate with all employees, so we used surveys, idea boards, Pinterest, and hosted several tours while under construction, to make sure that it captured what it means to work at WTS Paradigm. In the end I feel like our team of designers and architects nailed it.”
The finished product is a delicate balance of work and play, raw materials, and polished details. A concrete 20 foot-long breakfast bar where employees collaborate on projects or catch up and enjoy their lunches is visible from the main entrance. Massive LCDs and laser projectors illuminate the walls with industry news, company announcements, and upcoming events. Hardware forged from pipes used at Cave of the Mounds sets off the doors, made of sturdy antique hemlock boards that likely supported the roofs at the decommissioned Badger Ammunition Plant. Conference rooms, with employee-picked themes such as Legoland, the Hall of Justice, and Narnia, cater to the fun-loving nature of the team while leaving much to be marveled at. The space would not be complete without a selection of very special windows and doors, generously donated by WTS Paradigm’s partners.
The beauty, connectivity, and attention to detail are reflected on every surface. Some staff favorites include the walls coated in bright dry erase paint, gorgeous subway tiles, deep cement-cast sinks, raw lighting conjuring steampunk elements, white noise generators, and exposed ceilings towering 25 feet overhead.
But what sticks out the most is a sense of pride in the building. “I love overhearing how proud everyone is of the new space,” says Herbst. “This is something that I want to share.”
With space to expand, the new home for WTS Paradigm will be able to keep up with the growing company for many years to come.
