Academy of Fencing Masters Will Host 6 Bay Cup Fencing Tournaments During the 2013-2014 Fencing Season
Campbell, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- “We are thrilled to have 6 Bay Cup Fencing Tournaments at AFM,” Irina Chirashnya, founder of Academy of Fencing Masters, exclaimed. Irina continued, “Downtown Campbell is wonderful location where athletes and their families can enjoy the spirit of competition and then enjoy a wonderful meal at one of the local restaurants.” Irina hopes that the tournaments will bring in a variety of fencing talent, as well as AFM faithful, “Of course, AFM members will not have to pay the host club entry fees.”
AMF has created a club and facility targeted to providing an elite environment for fencers and their families. “We pride ourselves on our facilities and the experience that we provide every fencer. Our facilities have 6 competitive 14m-length strips, allowing AFM to host large local fencing tournaments, dressing rooms, spectator lounge and a rest area for fencers. Prior to competition fencers can warm up on 9 full-length electric strips and 4 short strips. Additionally, fencers can use these 4 short strips to keep themselves warmed between pool bouts and direct eliminations. There is also a observation area on the second floor where family members can watch their fencers,” Irina explained.
The six tournaments are as follows:
October 6th , 2013 - Junior (U19) Men’s Epee and C & Under Senior Mixed Epee
October 13th, 2013 - Y10 Women’s Foil and Y12 Women’s Foil
November 10th, 2013 - Y10 Men’s Foil and Y12 Men’s Foil
January 12th, 2014 - Senior Women’s Foil and E & Under Senior Mixed Foil
January 25th, 2014 - Y14 Men’s Foil
March 30th, 2014 - Y14 Men’s Foil and E & Under Senior Mixed Foil.
