AccentCare’s Home Health Achieves Overall 4.5-Star Quality Rating from CMS
DALLAS (PRWEB) June 10, 2019 -- AccentCare, an industry-leading post-acute healthcare company, announced its overall 4.5-star quality rating released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on June 6, 2019. Earning this quality rating places AccentCare well above ratings for the majority of the industry.
“Earning a 4.5-star quality rating for our company is a direct reflection of AccentCare’s continuous focus on improving patient care,” said AccentCare CEO Steve Rodgers. “We take pride in knowing the communities we serve can rely on us for quality home healthcare.”
Current quality ratings reported by CMS not only indicate a rising overall score for AccentCare, up from 4.4 stars previously, but that none of AccentCare’s 70 legacy agencies has less than a 4-star rating and eight hold a 5-star rating, the highest achievable.
“Our clinicians, as well as support staff, are dedicated to positive clinical outcomes,” said Greg Sheff, MD, Chief Medical Officer for AccentCare. “I’m extremely proud of every one of our home health agencies.”
CMS rates Medicare-certified home health agencies on a number of processes and outcome quality measures including timely initiation of care and acute care hospitalization. According to medicare.gov’s Home Health Compare, the quality rating for most measured home health agencies fall ‘in the middle’ with a rating of 3 to 3.5 stars.
CMS publishes star ratings to provide information about home health providers as a tool for consumers to make informed decisions about selecting home health care agencies.
