Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the projects of the Upper West Side of Manhattan during a time when there was not a supportive Latino community, De La Rosa's determination is what led her to receive a bachelor's degree in international business management from Pace University. She went on to have a 34-year career, where she rose through the ranks of Mobil/ExxonMobil Oil Corporation.
In her role as a business development manager and president of ExxonMobil Oil Corporation's employee resource group, she often represented the company as a lead presenter at the Regional and National Scholarship Awards hosted by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. De La Rosa hopes to motivate other Latinos and women to succeed in their careers.
