McKeen will provide FHSG's existing and prospective clients with exceptional labor relations support, strategy and training.
McKeen is a well-known labor relations expert with more than 30 years of experience within the airline industry. He specializes in labor relations, human resources, benefits, communications and legal matters.
Prior to joining F&H Solutions Group, McKeen was the senior vice president of labor relations at United Airlines for 11 years. In this role, he developed, implemented and applied labor strategy and negotiated labor agreements for more than 70,000 domestic and international represented employees. McKeen was a member of the management team during discussions that brought about the 2010 merger between United Airlines and Continental Airlines, and he was the company's lead negotiator during joint negotiations that led to combined agreements for all labor groups. He led the labor relations and strategy discussions for the Executive Committee of the airline's board of directors.

From 2006 to 2008, McKeen was the senior vice president of employee relations and communications at ASTAR Air Cargo. Before joining ASTAR, McKeen held labor relations leadership roles at Northwest Airlines, America West Airlines and US Airways. He was also a partner with Eclat Consulting, leading negotiations and providing labor relations strategy and counsel to several airlines. McKeen has led negotiations for labor agreements with nearly every union representing employees in the airline industry, including pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, dispatchers, and passenger service and ramp employees.

McKeen practiced law at Murnane, Conlin, White, Brandt and Hoffman, a firm in St. Paul, Minnesota, prior to joining Northwest Airlines in 1986. He chaired the Young Lawyers Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He was also a past chairman of the Airlines for America (A4A) Labor and Employment Council. McKeen is currently a member of the University of Iowa Tippee Business School Advisory Board.
