Leaders in Canadian Transportation Technology Leverage Government of Ontario Support for Innovative Vehicle Analytics

We have always been at the forefront of using operational and technological advancements to exceed our customers’ evolving needs and working with Acerta represents the next step in that ongoing journey.

Acerta Analytics, Inc. is pleased to announce the creation of a new partnership with Challenger Motor Freight with the support of Ontario’s Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network (AVIN). The partnership will focus on enhancing trucking fleet maintenance and fuel optimization via Acerta’s AutoPulse machine learning platform. The objective is to utilize Challenger’s vehicle data through AutoPulse to optimize maintenance schedules and improve fuel economy.

The project highlights the cutting-edge automotive technology being developed within the Canadian ecosystem thanks to support from the Government of Ontario. Acerta Analytics empowers automotive data to unlock its value and transform product quality, with platforms that detect the earliest indicators of future product failures. Challenger is a North American leader in the supply chain industry and one of the largest privately owned transportation and logistics companies in Canada.

“We are excited to work with Challenger on using predictive maintenance to enhance fleet performance,” said Acerta CEO, Greta Cutulenco. “There is significant value to be discovered and utilized in vehicle data, and AutoPulse will help Challenger leverage that with machine learning.”

“Challenger is pleased to partner with another leader in the Canadian automotive tech industry,” said Jim Peeples, Challenger President & COO. “We have always been at the forefront of using operational and technological advancements to exceed our customers’ evolving needs and working with Acerta represents the next step in that ongoing journey.”

“This innovative project harnesses Ontario’s expertise in data analytics and artificial intelligence to reduce fuel consumption and maintenance costs for trucking fleet operators,” said Vic Fedeli, Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “The partnership demonstrates how targeted investments through Ontario’s Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network are fostering growth among small- and medium-sized technology companies while furthering the province’s leadership in advanced vehicle technologies.”

“Everyday, people across Ontario rely on trucks to deliver goods to stores, warehouses and our homes,” said Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation. “Ontario is proud to support innovative solutions, like this project by Acerta Analytics, which uses machine learning technology to support the fuel-efficient operation of trucks in our province. This is an exciting example of how technology can have an impact on making the everyday movement of goods more environmentally friendly.”
