NEW YORK, Feb. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ACES Baseball agents Seth Levinson and Sam Levinson paid tribute to their longtime client, "The Captain," David Wright, with a private party at Tao Downtown on September 30th, 2018.
Hosted by ACES baseball agents Seth Levinson and Sam Levinson, along with other principal agents Peter Pedalino, Keith Miller and Brandon O'Hearn, the evening was a celebration of Wright's outstanding career.
The event was attended by Wright's close friends and family, including: Mets teammates Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz and Michael Conforto; Mets owner Jeff Wilpon; and former teammates and friends including Todd Zeile, Cliff Floyd and former NFL star Dallas Clark.
In an ACES baseball agency video that was played at the dinner, President Donald J. Trump praised Wright as a "Spectacular man and a great baseball player." The video tribute also included highlights from Wright's distinguished career.
At the event, Wright, who played his entire 14-year career for the Mets, and was named the fourth captain in the franchise history, happily posed with a pinstriped cake emblazoned with his famous No. 5.
As a career .296 hitter, with a .376 OBP and .491 SLG, Wright posted a career OPS of 133+. He ranks first, all-time, among position players for the Mets with a 50.4 WAR.
ACES agent Seth Levinson reflected on the evening, "Beyond being a great player, David is a truly remarkable man who exudes class and dignity and instinctually always does the right thing by everyone. It was a night for his family and closest friends to embrace David with love and to show our appreciation for him taking us all along on his incredible journey."
ACES Agent Sam Levinson added. "It has been a distinct honor to be part of David's life for the last eighteen years, and he has profoundly touched us in many ways."
Agent Seth Levinson and agent Sam Levinson negotiated an eight-year, $138 million contract for Wright with the Mets back in 2012 - a deal that fremains the largest in the club's history.
ACES agent Seth Levinson and ACES agent Sam Levinson also negotiated Dustin Pedroia's eight-year, $110 million deal with the Boston Red Sox.
ACES baseball agent Sam Levinson and ACES baseball agent Seth Levinson also negotiated Jon Lester's $155 million deal with the Cubs in 2014; ACES baseball agents also recently negotiated Charlie Blackmon's $108 million deal with the Colorado Rockies.

"There is no end game in the hustle, just the constant grind towards the quenching of an ever growing ambition. One does not hustle… they are hustle. Maybe there's an easier way to define hustle. Rather than using words, we can use a picture instead - one of Sam and Seth Levinson." - Forbes.
"They (ACES Baseball Agents Sam and Seth Levinson) get you into their world, into their suite. It's 2 in the morning, 3 in the morning, and they just keep going. They wear you down and it's almost like you start hallucinating and they become vampire-like guys who convince you that they are right." -- Theo Epstein, President of 2016 World Champion Chicago Cubs (Page 114 of Jeff Passan's book "The Arm").
"Many voices in the industry marvel at the ACES Agency because they read the market and get a lot of their clients (like Kelly and Nate Eovaldi) signed early. Some who are waiting today were promised they would be paid at a certain level that, as the market develops, doesn't materialize." -- Peter Gammons, The Athletic.
