Acme Brick Company’s Laser Engraved Pavers Are Popular Fundraisers
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) February 05, 2014 -- Acme Brick Company’s engraved brick are very popular with institutions involved in fund-raising for various projects. Donors' names are engraved in brick that are used for walkways, walls, and patios. Engraved brick are also used to exhibit company logos on walls or on walkways and engraved brick are used as nameplates for employees and as gifts to customers. This product has always represented a low cost way to spur increased contributions and a way to advertise a business.
Acme Brick Company’s patented method of engraving brick utilizing lasers is a vast improvement on the traditional engraved brick engraving procedure. The technique was developed by Acme’s Engineering Department over a two-year period. The use of lasers for engraving brick had been previously done, but the Acme process provides an improved method by using a CO2 continuous beam laser with a fixed focal point.
The laser process replaced Acme’s prior method of engraving bricks by sand blasting which is the standard industry technique. The laser process produces a highly detailed engraved brick with the depth and look of traditional engraved brick. Very detailed text and logos can be applied onto the brick using this laser process.
The laser engraving process applies intense heat onto the brick surface and changes the affected surface to a black, glass-like material. The laser follows a predetermined path created by a custom software program designed specifically for this application.
Orders are entered at any Acme Brick sales office, using the laser engraved brick order entry/production program. This data is automatically converted into a laser output file when requested by production personnel. Thus, minimal labor is required to create the file required for each engraved brick. As a result, customers are able to have their individual brick deliver much faster than is possible using traditional methods. This process also gives customers the ability to place an order for any number of brick and have them produced as they are specified.
