Across International's Social Media Video Contest Offers Grants to College Students
Across International is launching "The Beauty of Science" social media video contest. US-based college and university undergraduate and graduate students may enter. Contestants will shoot a video up to 1-minute long, post it to the contest page and share the link with the hashtag #beautyofsciencevidcontest on all their social media pages. Winners will receive grants of up to $1,500.
LIVINGSTON, N.J., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Across International (Ai), an industry leader in the manufacture of material processing, heat treatment, and laboratory equipment, is launching an exciting new contest. It offers grants to US-based, undergraduate and graduate college and university students. Named "The Beauty of Science Contest," between January 15 and April 15 contestants can shoot a short video, up to one minute long, featuring Ai equipment in their university lab. Then, they must upload it to our contest webpage on Woobox.
Next, they'll share the video on their social media pages using the hashtag: #beautyofsciencevidcontest and the link to our Woobox page. Students should encourage voters to vote on their entry. The three videos that earn the most votes will win the first, second, and third place prizes. The 1st place prize is a $1,500 grant, the 2nd place prize a $1,000 grant, and the 3rd place prize a $500 grant.

Panning and zooming in and out must be done gingerly, not in a messy or haphazard fashion. Proper lighting is important and there should be a minimum of fuzzy or out-of-focus frames.
