This event was the second annual race, hosted by Princess Charlene of Monaco. The Activbody team featured Formula One drivers Mika Häkkinen and Valtteri Bottas.
The Riviera Water Bike Challenge featured 110 riders across 22 teams, including a mix of celebrities and athletes in support of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. The 13 mile, two-and-a-half-hour marathon event between Pointe Ciappaira and the semi-floating harbor wall of the Port Hercules, Monaco was traveled on Schiller S1 water bikes.
As a sponsor of the event, Activbody contributed to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, which supports children's participation in sports and fitness across the world.
The gala, which took place at the Yacht Club de Monaco, included an auction with items donated by supporters of the foundation including a guitar from U2's Bono, an original Audrey Hepburn print, a Salvator Dali sketch, sporting memorabilia and the Prince of Monaco's personal bike. Over one million Euros were raised at the event.
