AdValue Photonics Introduces Higher Pulse Energy Fiber Lasers
Tucson, Az (PRWEB) February 02, 2015 -- Overcoming technical challenges related to inherent nonlinearities in optical fibers, AdValue Photonics has pushed the performance of fiber laser technology another step further with two exciting new products.
The first is a line of Pulsed Single-Frequency Fiber Lasers, with wavelength options at 1 micron, 1.55 micron, and 2 micron. These products offer the highest pulse energy in a single longitudinal mode available on the market today. With pulse widths in the hundreds of nanoseconds and narrow spectral linewidth, these lasers provide powerful new capabilities for LIDAR, frequency conversion, mid-IR generation, and spectroscopy applications.
The second is a High Pulse Energy 2 Micron Mode-Locked Fiber Laser. This ultra-fast fiber laser, with emission in the 2 micron wavelength range, provides scientists and engineers with a new capability in the fields of mid-IR generation, nonlinear optics, spectroscopy, and micromachining. High pulse energy and high peak powers are frequently needed to enhance the effects under study or to develop practical “real world” applications. “Exciting new research and product development will be enabled by this laser’s performance characteristics of 10 µJ pulse energy, 800 fs pulse width, and 100’s kHz pulse repetition rate,” said Dr. Katherine Liu, AdValue Photonics’ Director of Business Development.
Dr. Shibin Jiang, AdValue Photonics’ CEO, will give presentations on these products at Photonics West 2015, in San Francisco, California, USA during the following demonstration sessions:
1) Single Frequency Pulsed Fiber Laser with mJ level pulse energy, Feb. 10, 10:30am;
2) High Pulse Energy 2 Micron Mode-Locked Fiber Laser, Feb. 10, 4:30 pm.
