"New science on the microbiome suggests that the health and well-being of these gut organisms is vital to our health and well-being," said Mallick-Searle. Mechele Fillman, MSN, NP-C, will answer that question when she presents Starting an Acute Pain Service is Harder Than You Think…AKA, "OMG Why Did I Agree to Do This Again?!" Fillman states, "Starting an acute pain service is difficult but well worth the time and effort spent. It is invaluable tool for patients and their primary teams to have early pain interventions. This can result in increased patient satisfaction, opioids spared, and potential hospital days saved.
