AdventHealth Connerton First Specialty Acute Care in the US to Test New Footwear Sanitizing Stations
AdventHealth Connerton partnering with St. Petersburg, FL company to test Path03Gen Solutions Footwear Sanitizing Stations to eliminate the spread of infection.
LUTZ, Fla., Feb. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AdventHealth Connerton is the first specialty acute care facility in the nation to test the PathO3Gen Solutions Footwear Sanitizing Stations to maximize infection control for patients and their families. The patented, new technology uses proactive Solestice 3/15 TechnologyTM to kill superbugs such as MRSA and C. difficile, which can be transmitted from the bottoms of shoes to patients, visitors and staff. Within six seconds of stepping onto the station, a person's shoes are decontaminated, decreasing the spread of infectious illness. Nine of the innovative stations will be tested throughout the facility.

About AdventHealth Connerton
AdventHealth Connerton opened its doors in 2009. The primary objective of this acute care specialty hospital is to provide care to medically complex patients. By extending a patient's hospital stay, the goal is to provide a longer time to heal in a hospital setting. AdventHealth Connerton is a 50-bed all private room facility providing services to patients and their families from a regional area encompassing a 50-mile radius from central Pasco County. Patients are admitted from a five-county area and from approximately 25+ acute care hospitals. The facility became part of Adventist Health System in 2010.
