AFG Group, Inc. Awarded GSA CM Contract for USAID Ronald Reagan Building Renovations
AFG has been awarded the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) contract to provide construction management and move management services on the $36.5M U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mobility Design Lab Project within the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

(AFG) has been awarded the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) contract to provide construction management and move management services on the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mobility Design Lab Project within the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
The Ronald Reagan Building (RRB), located in Washington, DC, serves as the second largest government building in the United States spanning 3.1 million square feet of office space across an 11-acre site. Original construction finished in 1997, and it currently houses the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, USAID, as well as private sector occupants.
AFG will provide construction management services during multiple phases for numerous design, construction, relocation phases as well as move-in services. The $36.5 million renovation is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed in 2022. Renovation and upgrades include office spaces, furniture, lighting, IT, AV, security, MEP, and signage across over 200,000 square feet. The renovations aim to meet LEED Silver, Commercial Interior (CI) certification.
Given the high-visibility of the project, as well as on-going business operations at the site, AFG is facilitating significant levels of coordination between GSA, USAID, the design-build contractor, and other key stakeholders in order to minimize impact to the occupants. While providing CM services to GSA, AFG will also be responsible for oversight of financial and administrative functions, scheduling, move management, cost control, and project close-out.
