AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AgileAssets Inc., a leading provider of transportation asset lifecycle management solutions, kicks off its newly rebranded global user conference as "Xchange 2019" today in Austin, Texas. The 3-day event brings together more than 150 transportation asset management professionals, including leaders from more than 40 government and private agencies that manage national, state, and local road networks around the world.
"Xchange 2019 marks a new era of collaborative experiences we are creating for our clients and business partners," said AgileAssets CEO Stuart Hudson. "For many of our clients, Xchange offers a unique opportunity to showcase their innovative asset management practices to a wider industry audience while also learning from their global counterparts and expanding their professional networks. Our goal is always to help our clients get even better at delivering safer, longer-lasting infrastructure while making smarter use of public funds."
Xchange 2019 will feature more than 40 educational sessions, including keynotes, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, where participants can gain specific asset management skills or broader insights on industry trends. Topics will range from the technical—such as using maps, mobile devices, and data analytics to improve roadway performance—to the strategic—such as optimizing asset lifecycle management strategies to get a higher return on infrastructure investments.
Among the keynote speakers will be two women leaders with renowned strategic expertise. Speaker Shelley Row, P.E., CSP, a former executive at the U.S. Department of Transportation, will present on "The Future of Transportation," highlighting how agencies can prepare to manage the impact of industry disruptions over the next 10 years. Speaker Amelie Fava-Verde, Director of Infrastructure Advisory at KPMG (US), will present KPMG's perspective on "Moving Toward a More Comprehensive Approach to Asset Management."
Participants who are not able to attend in person can join up to 15 sessions via livestream. Both remote and on-site participants will be able to use a polling application on their mobile devices to engage interactively with session leaders by posting and responding to questions. They can also use the polling feature to vote in real time for the winners of the AgileAssets Excellence in Infrastructure Asset Management (AXIAM) Awards, which recognize teams for their innovative and effective use of AgileAssets solutions to solve transportation asset management challenges.
Attendees can also use a mobile application to customize their conference schedule, identify attendees, and set up meetings with fellow participants. Among the professional networking opportunities will be a special reception on September 30 commemorating the 25th anniversary of AgileAssets as a pioneer and innovator in the field of infrastructure asset management.
