AMSTERDAM, Feb. 18, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AGRO Merchants Group, a global leader in cold storage and logistics solutions, announced its plans to expand its cold store in Maasvlakte, in the port of Rotterdam. The strategic investment will bring the total capacity of the facility to more than 35,000 pallet spaces and will also expand the Border Inspection Point, both currently operating at full capacity.
The Maasvlakte facility opened its doors in December 2016 and demonstrated the strong demand in the Rotterdam market by quickly reaching capacity. Construction works on the expansion is expected to commence in April 2020. The Border Inspection Point extension is expected to be operational in Q3 2020 and the cold store expansion to be completed in Q1 2021.
