NGD Homesharing, LLC (NGD), a unique company that owns and operates multifamily and hospitality brands, has reached a settlement with Airbnb in connection with the legal disputes between the parties in Florida and California. NGD had previously filed a lawsuit against Airbnb in the Circuit Court of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, Florida on January 24, 2020 (Case No. 2020-001849-CA-01). The lawsuit alleged that Airbnb, in its capacity as a majority member of NGD, engaged in a pattern of “disruptive, dilatory, tortious, and bad-faith actions inconsistent with, and in violation of, the legal and contractual obligations Airbnb owes to NGD.” Similarly, Airbnb had filed a lawsuit against NGD in the United States District Court, Northern District of California (No. 20-cv-549) asserting various claims for relief arising from their business relationship.
Now both sides have reached a settlement to resolve their business disputes, and the two lawsuits have been voluntarily dismissed with prejudice. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Attorney Michael G. Austin, from McDermott Will & Emery, LLP, who represented NGD in this matter, said that, “NGD and Airbnb have reached a mutually acceptable settlement of their business disputes, and both parties have now dismissed their respective lawsuits with prejudice to effectively end all litigation between them. The parties can now focus their energy on moving forward with their respective business operations.”
NGD’s multifamily and hospitality properties are operated uniquely where residents can rent out their apartments or condos on home-sharing platforms such as Airbnb and others to earn extra income.
NGD currently operates through two primary brands: (i) Niido™ and (ii) Natiivo™ with operations in Orlando, FL; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX and Miami, FL.
