AJG Packaging Will Debut New Powder Delivery System at Global Pouch Forum 2019

Push & Dose is the only patented flexible pouch concept in the world with a perforated membrane and built-in controlled product dispensing. It was originally introduced a few years ago, with much attention and great interest at Scanpack®, Scandinavia's largest packaging event. The ingenious delivery system will be seen for the first time in North America at Global Pouch Forum.

Push & Dose transforms an ordinary pouch into a totally unique delivery system. This easy-to-open, controlled dispensing mechanism and self-closing membrane keeps products fresh while delivering the desired amount. Push & Dose is developed to fulfill FDA and European Food Safety requirements and has passed migration tests executed by Eurofins. The revolutionary dosing invention for the consumer market delivers a perfect sprinkling of powdery and granulated products.

Fimtech is the inventor of the Push & Dose concept and is the manufacturer of the machines that produce the Push & Dose dispensing unit in roll form.

Push & Dose pouches will be produced on horizontal pouch filling machines, either as pouches from rollstock material (HFFS) or as single, premade pouches (HFS). Both machine types can easily be upgraded to accommodate the Push & Dose infeed and applicator equipment.

The Push & Dose pouch is easily opened by removing a strip of packaging material from across the top portion and then gently applying pressure against the outside edges of the package to activate a controlled dosing. An inventive closure mechanism preserves freshness to extend the product life cycle.

A selection of customizable shapes and decorating options are available, making Push & Dose ideal for dry powder products, including powder-to-water supplements, sprinkles and seasoning, and personal care products like dry shampoos. At present, several global brands in the health and beauty, and food industries have expressed animated interest in this unique delivery system.
