LIGHTHOUSE POINT, Fla., Jan. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alarm Grid has released its annual list of the 100 cities in which your home is least likely to get burgled. The list is filled with cities from all over the United States. It is a celebration of those municipalities that have successfully dealt with a devastating crime. "There is nothing worse than being burgled," said Joshua Unseth, one of Alarm Grid's founders. "It is a crime that destroys the feeling of safety most of us feel in our own homes and destroys it. Alarm Grid is focused on burglary prevention. That's why we're in the alarm business. But that's also why we put this list together. We want to recognize those places where the residence that live there can feel safe in their own homes because they are safe."
America is a large nation, and each municipality has its own charm and its own problems. Alarm Grid is hyper-focused on solving one of those issues. In addition to releasing a list of the 100 least burgled cities, it has also released its list of the 100 cities whose residences are most likely to be burglarized.
"There are some simple steps people can take to prevent being targeted by burglars. First, they should make sure they aren't a soft target. Put a sign in front of your home that let's someone know that you have an alarm system. Second, get an alarm system. Those two steps alone will hugely reduce the risks of any individual property being burglarized," Joshua said. "Neighborhood watches, and adequate policing are other great ways communities can ensure safety."
