After a competitive search for a partner to help transition the college from a brick and mortar bookstore to an online solution, ATCC selected Virtual Bookstores to help students obtain course materials at a significantly reduced cost, while also providing a streamlined and convenient ordering process. Beginning in summer 2019, ATCC will have expanded access to course materials in every format, including new, used, rental, eBook, and a peer-to-peer marketplace. The new partnership will afford ATCC a select bookstore experience that focuses on textbook affordability delivered through a convenient 24/7 customized website.

The platform will offer integration with ATCC’s Student Information System using students’ Star ID. After registering for courses, students will see a listing of required textbooks according to their schedule, along with the ability to purchase or rent the materials with the click of a button. Further complementing the solution for students is an exceptional customer service team who will provide superior year-round support. Best-in-class service begins with onsite buybacks in May 2019 where students will receive premium pricing for course materials. Faculty also benefit from the new partnership through access to a powerful online adoption tool that streamlines the entire adoption process.

“We know that keeping costs down is important for student success,” said Amy Allen, Executive Director for the Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation. “Partnering with eCampus will allow us to offer the most affordable prices on books and materials for students.”

“’s Virtual Bookstore program is committed to improved textbook affordability,” said Matt Montgomery, President and CEO of “We are pleased to partner with Alexandria Technical and Community College to align with their goals of providing students an innovative virtual bookstore experience that helps combat the rising costs of higher education.
