Allied Environmental Services, Inc. Continues to Grow Confined Space Rescue Capability
To meet increasing customer demand, Allied Environmental Services, Inc. (Allied), one of the Great Lakes region's premier environmental field services providers, recently announced that it has expanded its confined space rescue capabilities.
LIMA, Ohio, July 29, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In response to client input and the needs of industry, Allied initiated a focused expansion of its on-site confined space stand-by and rescue services in the first quarter of 2021. The expansion was centered around investment in additional training of rescue crews, and upgrading of specialized rescue equipment.
Allied regularly provides confined space services to global petroleum refiners, chemical producers and industrial manufacturers. According to Tracy Watts, Allied Operations Manager, the additional training and equipment upgrades allow Allied to provide the safest and most responsive rescue services possible, and give the company an advantage over its competition. "The ability to provide our own rescue services makes us more cost-effective and a better option for our customers, who maintain rigorous standards for confined space entry", Watts stated. "The requirements of our customers often go beyond OSHA regulations and they utilize only elite contractors for this work. We're proud to be in that class", Watts added.
While Allied maintains certified rescue crews for its own confined space entry projects, such as bulk storage tank cleaning and coating, Allied also provides the service to other contractors that lack the rescue capability.
Allied confined space rescue crews are OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certified, and meet OSHA certification requirements for confined space entry and rescue. Allied utilizes NFPA-approved rescue and retrieval equipment and maintains state-of-the-industry atmospheric monitoring and metering equipment.
