Altep Experts Earn Esteemed Certifications
El Paso, TX (PRWEB) July 10, 2016 -- Altep Inc., a global provider of e-Discovery, data forensics, compliance risk assessment, and cyber security services, announced that Manager of Application/Review Database Management, Ray Perez, has earned the title of Relativity Master. Further, Analytics Consultant Sara Skeens has earned the Relativity Assisted Review Specialist certification, Information Security Engineer Alejandro Baca has completed requirements to become a GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), and Senior Consultant Joshua Tolles has been recognized as a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA). Importantly, the RCA title – Tolles’ fourth Relativity certification – qualifies him as a Relativity Expert.
“We are extremely proud of Josh, Ray, Sara, and Alejandro for earning these prestigious certifications,” said Judy Torres, Vice President of Information Services. “At Altep, we strongly encourage our teams to engage in continuous learning and professional growth. These experts’ successes further our commitment to quality service for our clients.”
Achieving recognition as a Relativity Master is no easy feat. It requires professionals like Perez to achieve a combination of four or more Relativity specialist certifications, in addition to being recognized as a Relativity Certified Administrator. The title is the highest certification a professional can earn from kCura, developers of Relativity.
“Earning the Master certification has been an extremely challenging journey, as the Relativity certifications are very demanding, to fairly validate technical proficiency,” said Perez. “It ensures that you truly comprehend the wide variety of features Relativity offers, and are broadly skilled at using the platform to the best effect.”
The RCA certification demands a score of 80 percent or higher on a written exam, plus successful execution of a practical exercise.
“I am quite pleased to have achieved Relativity Certified Expert status,” said Tolles. “I set out a little more than two years ago to find a way to do many of the things we do in eDiscovery better. The knowledge I have gained while achieving the various certifications needed for Expert status has certainly helped in that quest, and I look forward to the challenge of achieving Master status in the coming months.”
Certification as a GIAC-certified Intrusion Analyst requires that candidates have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to configure and monitor intrusion detection systems, and to read, interpret, and analyze network traffic and related logs. In order to pass, participants must achieve a minimum score of 67 percent. The training and exams are offered by Global Information Assurance Certification, a leading provider of training and education in information security and data forensics.
In addition to GCIA, Alejandro Baca has earned ASCE, ASCA, GCED, GCWN, and GCIA certifications.
“The GCIA course and exam were tough, but worth all of the effort,” said Baca. “I truly appreciate Altep for providing me with the opportunity to continue expanding my skills and knowledge.”
