Altium to Host 2nd Annual "AltiumLive" PCB Design Summit
Altium announced its 2nd annual PCB Design Summit. SAN DIEGO, Aug. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Altium today announced that its 2nd annual PCB Design Summit will take place in San Diego on October 4-5, 2018. AltiumLive 2018 will build upon last year's successful user event to provide PCB design professionals with a host of opportunities to expand their engineering knowledge and design skills through live workshops, professional development courses, industry keynote speakers, and previews of new Altium products. Additionally, AltiumLive 2018 will provide a unique opportunity for thought leaders and practitioners in PCB design, manufacturing, and component supply chain to connect and collaborate on how the electronics industry can establish a more connected design to realization experience.
"One of the biggest challenges in the electronics industry is product realization — the process of getting from an idea to a physical printed circuit board — in large part because component availability and manufacturing line capabilities are only discovered after a design is complete," said Ted Pawela, Chief Operating Officer at Altium. This year's 2-day summit will feature keynote presentations from industry leaders, including Eric Bogatin, Rick Hartley, Bil Herd, and Jeremy Blum, professional development courses offering immersive training and in-depth industry insights, and ample opportunity to network with peers and supply chain providers. Altium will also unveil key product launches including Altium Designer® 19, and the latest release of Altium NEXUS®. In addition, this year's conference will feature an optional University Day filled with hands-on training in Altium Designer, and a parallel full-day course in high-speed design taught by leading authority, Lee Ritchey.
