Altman Vilandrie & Company Promotes Ben Matthews, Daniel Mazor to Director

Matthews and Mazor advise the firm's Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector and private equity clients on a range of business strategy issues.

Matthews joined Altman Vilandrie & Company as a Principal in 2017 and advises clients on growth strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions. Matthews focuses on internet infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise software. Recent client engagements include advising a managed services provider on its cloud services strategy, optimizing the product and service offerings of a leading cybersecurity provider, and developing the partner strategy of one of the world's largest software vendors. He also works with tech industry investors, performing market studies, conducting investment due diligence, and developing the strategy of portfolio companies.

Prior to Altman Vilandrie & Company, Matthews was a Director at the strategy consulting firm Strategy& and a Head of Strategy at Telecommunications provider BT, both based out of London. He began his career as a consultant for McKinsey-spin-off Value Partners, living and working in Dubai and Sao Paulo. Matthews earned a 1st class honors degree from University College London.

Mazor, who joined the firm in 2011, focuses his growth strategy work on new product development and digital marketing optimization. His extensive due diligence experience for sponsors and strategic buyers includes global data center assets, cloud service providers. and the enabling hardware. Mazor is an expert in consumer wireless, residential fiber, and data center business models. His data center work covers colocation, interconnection, managed service, and hyperscale cloud providers as well as the underlying networking, power and cooling equipment.

Prior to Altman Vilandrie & Company, Mazor was a Manager at PowerAdvocate, a boutique energy sector consulting firm, and a Design Engineer at chip maker AMD. Mazor holds an MBA with distinction from the Olin School of Business at Babson College and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in computer engineering with distinction from Rutgers University.
