Altman Vilandrie & Company, a strategy consulting firm focused on the communications, media and related technology sectors, recently promoted Jonathan Arscott and Dan Huntington to principal. Arscott and Huntington advise the firm’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) sector and private equity clients on a range of business and technology strategy issues.
“Dan and Jonathan have followed different career paths to become key contributors to core components of our business,” said Altman Vilandrie & Company COO Steve Conway. “Jonathan’s global experience in video and telecom helps expand our reach with clients across the globe, and Dan provides clients with the tools and data to make critical network deployment decisions.”
At Altman Vilandrie & Company, Arscott has worked with global TMT companies on critical business issues, including corporate strategy, go-to-market planning, competitive analysis and market entry. His areas of expertise include consumer and enterprise wireline businesses, wireless, data infrastructure and OTT video. Arscott joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2016 and is based in the firm’s New York City office.
A citizen of the United Kingdom, Arscott began his career at strategy consultancies and financial services firms in Europe and Australia. Immediately before coming to Altman Vilandrie & Company, he worked for TMT strategy consulting firm Solon in the United Kingdom. Arscott earned his MBA from INSEAD in France, and his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom.
Huntington’s expertise focuses on residential and enterprise network deployment strategy across legacy, fiber and 5G/fixed wireless networks. He works with clients to improve the accuracy of network planning while cutting time to deployment. Huntington has been a key contributor to the development of Altman Vilandrie & Company’s ARO platform, the industry-leading network planning tool that helps telecom clients understand the full investment case of network deployments, from build-out costs to revenue across business units. ARO has been adopted by leading providers in U.S. and Europe.
Huntington joined Altman Vilandrie & Company as an intern in 2010, and became a consultant in 2011 after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Vermont. He works out of the firm’s Boston headquarters.
