Ambassador Susan E. Rice, former National Security Advisor and United States Ambassador to the United Nations, will share her experiences and insights on issues like empowerment, adversity and leadership during her keynote interview at Digital Mortgage 2020. The digital event takes place September 14-17, with Amb. Rice taking center stage in a fireside chat with Gemma Postlethwaite, CEO of Arizent, a business information company and publisher of National Mortgage News.

In response to the pandemic, Digital Mortgage 2020 will be a thoughtfully designed, interactive digital experience. The industry’s leading mortgage event has been reimagined as a world-class virtual destination, with top minds offering the insights and strategies needed to accelerate the transition to end-to-end digital mortgages. Digital Mortgage 2020 will deliver the same executive-level peer-to-peer networking, roundtable discussions and interactive demos the industry has come to expect — in a sleek, intuitive digital platform.

Ambassador Rice served in senior roles in the administrations of President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama. She is the author of The New York Times best-selling memoir Tough Love: My Story of the Things Worth Fighting For. Rice will also participate in the Women in Mortgage Tech portion of the event, which will provide industry participants with insight from women leading the efforts to rebalance the boardroom.

“2020 has shown that an industry’s ability to be agile — to change intelligently and quickly — is more important now than ever,” says Gemma Postlethwaite, CEO of Arizent. “The mortgage industry is facing that head-on. Whether we’re talking about responding to a crisis like COVID-19, or changing the picture of equality in the workplace long-term, the quicker a community can adapt, the better they’ll be positioned for the future. We’re thrilled that Ambassador Rice will be leading an essential conversation about such an important and relevant issue.”

Amb. Rice will join an impressive roster of industry leaders that includes:

  • Bob Walters, President and Chief Operating Officer, Quicken Loans
  • Tammy Richards, COO, loanDepot
  • Vishal Garg, CEO,
  • Ginger Wilcox, CXO, Home Point Financial
  • Sonu Mittal, EVP, Head of Mortgage, Retail, Citizens Bank
  • Matt Rider, CIO, Home Lending Technology, Wells Fargo
