The surgery center is located at 9849 W. Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
The West Valley Peaks Surgery Center will allow AVP's doctors and doctors throughout the community to have access to a state-of-the-art facility for outpatient procedures, such as cataracts. More importantly, it allows patients in the West Valley region of Phoenix a surgery site closer to home, which can be more convenient for obtaining transportation day of surgery.
Dr. Charles Schaffer, of AVP affiliate, Southwestern Eye Center, is one physician who is already set to perform surgery at the new location. "It's great to have access to this new facility. The surgery rooms are nice and clean. It also makes it so much easier for my patients that I already see in clinic in Sun City," said Dr. Schaffer.
