We are thrilled to be nationally recognized by the Franchise Times 200+ for our growth, but we are even more proud to be leaders in the urgent care and primary care industry, which allows us to provide convenient care for consumers across the nation, seven days a week.

American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care and accessible primary care, is being recognized for the fourth year in a row as a leading franchise in the Franchise Times Top 200+ rankings. American Family Care came in at #132 on the newly-released list of best-performing franchise systems in the United States. The list ranks 500 franchise-based businesses on systemwide sales for the previous year. American Family Care hit more than $595 million in systemwide sales in 2018.

“We are thrilled to be nationally recognized by the Franchise Times 200+ for our growth, but we are even more proud to be leaders in the urgent care and primary care industry, which allows us to provide convenient care for consumers across the nation, seven days a week. It’s the kind of access to healthcare our country needs,” said Randy Johansen, American Family Care President.

The 200 largest U.S.-based franchisors grew their combined sales by more than $26.9 billion, or 4.2 percent, over the last year. The franchise growth leader was the health/medical category, which grew sales by 14.5 percent.

Over the last 37 years, AFC has pioneered the concept of non-emergency room urgent care and expanded its footprint to more than 26 states. AFC is now the largest provider of urgent care in the country, with more than 200 clinics. The fast-growing healthcare network is on pace to expand its footprint to 500 locations within the next five years. All AFC clinics are designed, equipped, and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care, and minor emergency treatment. Each clinic features a high-tech approach, including digital x-rays, on-site lab testing, state-of-the art diagnostics, and electronic medical records. The clinics are staffed by kind, caring, and compassionate health care professionals that serve patients seven days a week, and no appointments are necessary.
