American Legion Post 65, HeroZona Foundation Announce 17th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway
Impactful Event Shifts to Drive-Thru Format to Serve Individuals and Families in Need
PHOENIX, Oct. 29, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- HeroZona Foundation is excited to announce its 17th annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, now in drive-thru format to ensure the safety of volunteers and individuals picking up the donations. On Monday, November 23, families in need will receive free turkeys beginning at noon at the Travis L. Williams American Legion Post 65 (1624 E. Broadway Rd.) There will be a limit of one frozen turkey per family, no income requirements or ID necessary, while supplies last.
"While COVID-19 has uprooted many traditions within our communities, the holiday season remains a source of joy for many and we want to preserve that," says HeroZona President Ron Williams. "This giveaway has been a crucial event for our community as there are many underserved families that benefit from receiving aid during this time. Food scarcity is a massive issue in South Phoenix and HeroZona is committed to helping in any way possible."
