PMA’s team of 37 physicians and 21 advanced practice clinicians care for approximately 150,000 emergency department patients annually at Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children’s Medical Center, Mesa, Ariz. Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children’s Medical Center are part of Banner Health, a nonprofit healthcare system with 28 hospitals in six states. A Level I Trauma Center, Banner Desert is ranked as the ninth largest emergency department in the United States based on patient visits, and PMA’s relationship with the facility dates back two decades.
