American Sentinel University Hosts Tenth Commencement Ceremony on June 19
AURORA, Colo. (PRWEB) June 18, 2015 -- American Sentinel University will celebrate the academic achievements of its newest graduates in nursing, informatics, management and technology disciplines at its tenth commencement ceremony to be held on June 19 at 9:30 a.m. MDT in Boettcher Concert Hall at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Michael Bowling, senior vice president, corporate strategy of AT&T Services, Inc. will deliver the keynote address. Bowling is responsible for driving the growth of a $37 billion wireline business, as well as the company’s Business Mobility service portfolio.

During the commencement ceremony, the university will confer 1,346 degrees, 80 of which are at the doctoral-level. American Sentinel currently has 2,790 active students and of those, 11 percent are at the doctoral-level and 41 percent are at the master’s level.
Key highlights of this year’s commencement include:
-Cynthia Christensen, M.S. Nursing Education, Vancouver, Wash., is the winner of American Sentinel University’s Founder’s Award presented to the graduate who has the highest grade-point average and has displayed determination and initiative in their student life.
-Alexander Kulcsar III, M.S. Computer Science, Dexter, Mich., is the recipient of this year’s Joe. B. Wyatt Award presented to the graduate who has exhibited outstanding effort, energy and leadership in their student life.
-Shaylene Caffey, M.S. Geospatial Information Systems, Kansas City, Mo., is the winner of the Lt. Col. Paul J. Capicik Outstanding Military Student Award presented to the student who demonstrated unusual diligence and persistence in completing their studies.
-Honorary doctorates will be awarded to Ravi K. Reddy, managing partner of RK Reddy & Associates and Bruce Sullivan, retired audit partner and managing partner, Nashville, Ernst & Young, LLP.
American Sentinel University awards honorary degrees to recognize outstanding achievement. Recipients receive a Doctor of Letters degree, and they are amongst one of the highest honors conferred by the university. Previous recipients have been models of excellence and service to the university’s students, graduates and the world.
The Dean’s Awards for Academic Excellence will be presented to the following graduates who demonstrated excellence in the graduating class: Kirkland Chewning, B.S.
