American Spine Welcomes New Pain Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician, Dr. Matthew Roh

The Multi-Specialty team of doctors includes specialists from the fields of Pain Management, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Neurology. The American Spine team specializes in treating painful conditions of the back and neck, as well as other musculoskeletal ailments. Our providers focus not just on treating pain, but diagnosing and eliminating the root cause of that pain. Our team of medical experts create a personalized approach to provide state-of-the-art, minimally invasive and multi-modal spinal care.
Our newest physician, Matthew Roh, M.D. received his medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Roh then went on to complete his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, one of the nation’s leading Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation programs. While at Baylor, he obtained extensive training at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR).
Dr. Roh strives to serve his patients with compassion and mutual respect. He believes this approach opens the door to excellent communication and improved outcomes.
Dr. Roh is committed to forming strong relationships with Physical Therapists through his work at American Spine. He believes that follow through with physical therapy is paramount to enabling patients to become stronger, healthier and more pain free.
Dr. Roh’s current scope of practice includes: General Physiatry with a special interest in Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Studies, Peripheral Joint Injections, Regenerative Medicine, Musculoskeletal Pain Management and Hormone Replacement Therapy.
American Spine has been established in Frederick, Maryland since 2009. In addition to our Frederick locations, American Spine Center also has offices in Waldorf, Germantown, Columbia, Olney, Leonardtown, and Hagerstown, Maryland. We also have a location in Gettysburg, PA.
