FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Nov. 5, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Amerisure is pleased to announce Matt Ford has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Field Underwriting & Partnerships, a new position within the company.
In this new role, Ford will lead the organization's field underwriting and agency relationship functions, including Field Marketing & Underwriting, Special Risk and Customer Engagement. He will report to Amerisure's Chief Operating Officer, Angela McBride.
"Matt has demonstrated the ability to build partnerships and trust with our Partners For Success® agencies, and execute disciplined underwriting operations," said McBride. "We are confident we can provide an even better customer experience to our partner agencies, by bringing critical agency functions together under Matt's leadership."
Ford joined Amerisure in 1990 as a Marketing Underwriter Trainee and served in a variety of underwriting roles within the organization. In 2006, he became Core Service Center (CSC) Manager of Amerisure's Atlanta CSC and was promoted to Assistant Vice President before being named Regional Vice President of Amerisure's central and west regions. Most recently, Ford served as Amerisure's Vice President of Field Marketing & Underwriting, where he led the execution of the company's field underwriting operations and relationship management activities.
He is a recipient of Amerisure's Marketing Underwriter of the Year award, and was a participant in the company's 2013 Leadership Academy.
Ford earned a bachelor's degree in insurance from Ball State University, Muncie, Ind.
