PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Amorphology, a leader in applying advanced materials and manufacturing technologies towards improving gears for robotics and other industrial applications has announced a strategic expansion, appointing Stephen Ceplenski, formerly Chief Marketing Officer, as Chief Growth Officer.
Amorphology has quadrupled its staff to accommodate current and future growth. The company, which had originally set a 3-year timetable for expansion, has quickly expanded in a mere 18 months--less than half of the original goal--driven by its ongoing success.
This unprecedented growth will allow Amorphology to continue its prototype, production and characterization capabilities to develop precision gears for various industries. These advanced production capabilities can create some of the most complex gears for the fast-growing robot and cobot industries, using patents and intellectual property developed at JPL.
"As employee #3, Ceplenski was hired to provide branding and marketing for the company," states Adam Bazih, Amorphology's CEO. "However, it was clear since day one that Stephen's previous experience at IBM in sales as well as at Marketo in business development and global partnerships, would provide a strong foundation to grow his responsibilities beyond marketing".
Ceplenski, who boasts a diverse technical and management career with a 30+ year track record of innovation and success, was originally recruited to Amorphology as their Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
"While I joined Amorphology to lead Marketing, taking on two new sets of responsibilities actually started after about 6 months at the company," said Ceplenski. "This new role is more of a title change that more accurately reflects the responsibilities I have had for the past year. And, with COVID causing most travel to exhibitions and shows to be impossible, driving sales, marketing and business development to a 100% outbound model has proven to be both exciting and successful".
Adds Bazih, "Even In an era of uncertainty and volatility, these are exciting times for Amorphology. Under Stephen's creative leadership, we continue to anticipate significant growth across the entire business and across a well diversified customer pipeline."
